Synthetic graphite sheet, also known as artificial graphite sheet, is a new type of thermal interface material made of polyimide. 

It adopts advanced carbonization, graphitization and calendering process to produce a thermally conductive film with unique 

lattice orientation through high-temperature sintering at 3000 °C.

 

With the upgrading of electronic products, the growing number of mini, highly integrated and high-performance electronic devices, 

resulting in a large number of heat dissipation management needs. DSN can provide thinnest graphite foil 12um with thermal conductivity up to 1900W/ m-K. 

With the arrival of 5G high-speed transmission communication, the heat dissipation requirement is higher and it will be the biggest obstacle for 

smartphones to move forward. While the high thermal conductivity graphite materials will help 5G smartphones break through the “heat dissipation” problem.

Features of synthetic graphite sheet:

  • Excellent thermal conductivity : up to 1950 W/m•K (2 to 5 times as high as copper, 3 to 8 time as high as aluminum)
  • Lightweight: Specific gravity : 1.9 to 2.1 g/cm3
  • Flexible and easy to be cut. (withstands repeated bending)
  • Low thermal resistance
  • Low heat resistance with flexible Graphite sheet
  • Low repulsion and easy to keep the product's shape after attaching
  • RoHS, REACH compliant
  • Siloxane Free


Application of synthetic graphite sheet:


Thermal interface materials are designed for use in applications requiring reliable performance, low contact resistance, long life, low maintenance and high thermal conductivity. The flexible graphite materials are die-cut to ensure exact fit and reduce module-to-module variation during assembly. The compressibility of the material improves surface contact, reducing thermal impedance and can compensate up to 125μ of flatness variation between the contact surfaces while the high in-plane thermal conductivity reduces hot spots. With the rise of new energy vehicles, graphene sheet is widely used in aluminum ion battery.
